Apple Special Event — May 2023 | Fight For Excellence

Attended Apple’s invite-only event for Women in tech.
Met a lot of talented folks across all divisions — designers, backend devs, and Infra, mainly. The major panel discussion by three women-led teams on Apple’s culture, & how they bring in women in every team possible.

Fear of rejection, standing up, balancing both personal & professional lives, being bold, voicing out in male-dominated discussions, following a passion, how to handle stress when some days don’t go as we plan, being compassionate to oneself, upskilling to be in a highly competitive environment, etc most wrt women was the agenda of discussion.

The networking was with a bunch of Apple employees — their journey, feedback on products, both hardware & software, a lot of discussions on Cassandra, Apple Payments vs UPI, looking up to Netflix, & others for admiration.
