From the above learnings, I’d design the app keeping these pointers on mind. Listing them below.
- Bigger font sizes— This helps the readability irrespective of having their spectacled handle.
- Connect Old-age homes — Frequent friends visit will help senior citizens feel lively & connect with people of their age groups. Also, anticipating occasional friends’ visits at the old age homes will make the residents less lonely.
- Real-time ride tracking connected to the nearest police station— The app can allow users to track their rides in real time, so they can monitor the driver’s progress and know when they will arrive. Every time a senior citizen boards + an update on the same to the rest of the family living away or abroad about the whereabouts.
- Prior Weather-check — This helps plan better for extreme weather conditions.
- Accessibility features — The app can include accessibility features, such as voice-activated commands or text-to-speech options, to make it easier for users with disabilities to use the app.
- Support vernacular languages + Vernacular voice support— The app can create content that is specific to each region, taking into account local customs, dialects, and cultural nuances. This can make the app feel more relevant and engaging to users.
- Scheduled rides — Be it regular doctor checkups, temple visits, friends visit, Festivities shopping, etc can be scheduled on the calendar or pre-booed & confirmed on the same.
- Save all addresses — Frequently visited locations to auto-populate & suggest a name to be saved for upcoming rides.
- Driver screening — The app can have strict driver screening policies that ensure drivers are properly vetted, trained, and have a good driving record.
- Driver ratings — The app can allow users to rate their drivers after each ride, which helps ensure that only safe and reliable drivers are allowed to continue providing rides.
- 24/7 customer support — The app can provide 24/7 customer support, either through a live chat or phone support, to help users with any issues they may encounter.
- User-generated content — The app can allow users to generate content in their preferred language, such as comments or reviews, which can help build a community around the app and increase engagement.
