As a kid, I always loved watching the sun rises, observe the clouds, the blue sky from the terrace. In the busy schedule, the habits deteriorate as even though we watch the skies, the mind is pondering on a different topic. However, when life slowed down during the pandemic, I made sure I walk up the terrace to watch every single sunrise & sunset & be grateful for making it to another day.
All of us are mesmerized by the moving clouds & various shapes & sizes. I was obsessed with it & had my imagination every other day. It is such a bliss to observe nature & the feeling of being relieved of our day-to-day stress. I adopted ‘8-shaped’ walking which we used to practice as a part of warm-ups during the dance training as it utilizes every part of our feet & is very beneficial as we tend to have a sedentary lifestyle.

One day is extremely breezy or raining. Other days it’s just the me-time listening to affirmations & gratitude. The feeling on top of the world is surreal when we watch the streets below as I live in a high-rise apartment.
On certain days I do felt lonely but watching other people doing their chores in the neighborhood, some working out, meditating, some setting to dry up the food grains, routines in their houses, students studying in their respective terraces give the feeling of togetherness. No matter what, life goes on — Pandemic or no pandemic, with someone beside or none, we ought to face our lives by ourselves independently. This taught me to embrace the uncertainty in life & adopt to this new WFH life.
